Lotte Lehmann Foundation

The Lotte Lehmann Foundation is one of the most respected non-profit musical foundations in the United States. Named for the great German soprano, Charlotte "Lotte" Lehmann, who gave many of her most memorable performances in the operas of Richard Strauss.

The foundation serves to preserve and perpetuate her legacy, as well as promote the role of art songs in contemporary classical music. JWD was asked to create a new identity that would reflect Lotte's combined personal style of strong, rigorous German discipline with her marked femininity. This was easy, since Jennifer is also of German heritage and, while she cannot sing a lick of a tuned note, is known for her love of a really great opera outfit.
